Today I will write about my performance in many activities to practice to next English´s Final Test.

I think that the vocabulary section is my best ability, because I get good marks, for example by the topic hobbies and leisure I get 10/10 points and for education and clothes topic I was wrong on two options from all. It´s very easy to get better in this ability.

But, on the reading activities I didn´t get a lot of points. For example, on the first test I get 3/10 points; on the second quiz I get 1/5 points and on the third test I get 6/11 points. I think that it´s is a topic that I must to improve a lot. I should be more concentrated and to put more focus on the keywords.

About my listening abilities, I get 1/6 points and 3/6 points. For this, I must to improve and practice more to watch videos and others activities. Listen more variety of sounds and be focus too.

Ultimately, about my speaking skills I think if I learn keywords about general topics and practice the tense and grammatical forms, I should be relax to my next oral interaction. Besides I must practice some dialogues with my classmate to get a good mark. 

Flexiworkers and Technologies

The article that I founded is about to work outside the workday. For example when we could receive a lot of e mails and answer everything in every time. One of reasons that we feel pressure could be that we feel responsible to work even if this activity (to answer e mail) don´t meaning extra salary.

Then the article mentions the work´s experiences from differences European countries that have a 45 hours in average (UK, Greece) and put the example to France (35 hours of work) or Swedes (6 hours of workday). Also, the writer says that there are a culture of 24 hours of work that it impede us not answer.

The new show a lot of opinions about to swift off the mobiles because this equipment allow for remove the work limits. Besides it advice that we could put own limits to other about to receive work on leisure time and rest.

On the other hand the article mention about the modern economy that pressure us to compete in vary of social topics front ourselves. With this, the current economic model is incompatible with time of rest and demand more time to people. It considers to workers like every time available under the job´s transformations called as Flexitime.

I read this column because is a very important topic to sociology of work: the homeworkers and flexiworkers too. Currently there are many cases about people that work during travel home or at home. This situation is very common for all new technologies that it allow us to be connect all the time.  Sometimes the workers feel pressure about to have to responses every time to not lose the job or the boss´s confidence. This is another kind of exploitation in the capitalism model. And I ´m agree with the advices from articles about the responsibility that we have to put limits to work and our time of rest. 

Today I´ll write about an activity that I like it so much: ride to bicycle. Through this action, I could visit many places that I love in Santiago, my neighborhood or even on the beach. The best thing that I like to ride bicycle is go over through streets, little way or parks. Besides, this activity would let me do physical activity and relax.
Three years ago, I rode bicycle a lot with my boyfriend and we enjoyed to visit different kind of places in one day. We traversed many different routes to arrive to Bicentenary Park, O´Higgins Park or Quinta Normal Park, to name a few places. We knew a lot of natural spaces where we could rest and play some sport like volleyball. Also, we saw others people that shared a good time with families and friends. Then we invited our relatives to visit this natural places, for example when we rode bicycle in the Araucano Park with my mother and my brother with his wife and my nephew in the last national holidays.
I like so much to visit this places and I believe that is good to mix sport, nature and loved ones, for example when we planned a camping day or when we could do activities outdoor because break to routine is wonderful for stress feelings in the last month of year. On the other hand, I think that to do physical activity outdoor is funnier than to go to gym. Today, I miss biking but when I finish all my commitment in the university I return to do this kind of activity, because I feel that I need it a lot and I could to visit more interesting places only with a bike.  

Help to other people is something that I make me feel happy, because is very moving to know that you could change something in their life.  I discovered this feeling when I taught a subject to girl in my village that needs to learn something to do a selection test. I knew that to teach a lot of things that she not knew could be very difficult but I felt very happy when she expressed her gratitude for my help.

Another moment when I find that to help to other was wonderful was when I have cooperated in a family work. We sold typical cakes in two national celebrations ago. We worked in group and we obtained a lot of benefits. With this we joined and knew much as family. It was very good to the family’s relationship.

Is very easy to help to other people, sometimes with little actions we can do this. For example, when a person is in trouble, we could show another part of the problem to find the solution or we could give an advice. On the other cases only listening the feeling from the person you could help to vent his/her emotions. Related with the video is very important to attend to social environment, and see if someone needs your help. Someday, you could need that someone helps you. 

Well I tell you what score got in all activities. About the first PET reading I have 5/7 points, 6/7 score in the second activity and 2/6 score in the last activity of reading. I think that my performance was very regular. 

About the listening task, it is my weak skill, in the first activity I have 2/7 points and the second activity I have 6/6 points. But I don´t know how I get it.

In the vocabulary activity, I got more points (25/33) and I knew new words and meanings. 

The Iron Maiden:

Today I will talk about the British heavy metal´s band called Iron Maiden and its vocalist Bruce Dickinson. I knew this band when I was eleven years old. My brother listened this kind of music and I listened it too when I was a little girl.

We went to a concert on 2009 in Nacional Stadium. I listened and saw the band on live in the first time, when I was seventeen years old. It was wonderful, all the presentation was very fun. My favorite songs was played and I liked the guitar´s solos and the powerful voice of Bruce. This guy is very amusing on the stage and he make us felt very well on the concert.

I enjoyed with the energy and the vitality that he and the band showed. All the songs sounded like the disc. But, this moment was better than to listen music in my room, because all the people enjoyed in this place the heavy metal and you could felt in a community of rock.

I love Iron Maiden because its songs talk about interesting thing like young people that must to go to war or the English colonialism, etc. Besides its vocalist is very talented, he can sing high notes even he can makes wonderful screaming. Also he drives the airplane of the band. This guy is very versatile. I felt sad when I knew about his illness, I couldn´t imagine his death. But, he is healthy now, ready to sing a lot. I would ask him about how impacted this illness in his life and if this situation give him another opportunity to enjoy the life. 

I don’t remember some special pressie, but I talk about my electric guitar and my bicycle. This object was gave from my brother Rodrigo. The guitar arrived when I was fifteen years old. I felt very happy when my brother called me and he told me that he had built it. It is wonderful, because looks like a real heavy metal´s guitar. It is black and its form is very particular, similar to Hetfield´s guitar, the vocalist of Metallica.

On the other hand, we went to San Diego to buy my bicycle. We saw different kind of bicycles. My brother advised me about how I would buy it according to my needs. I wanted a bicycle to ride into a parks, streets or mountains without problems. So that´s we built a beautiful white bicycle. And I have enjoyed with it very much. I rode around the city, to Bicentenario Park and Araucano Park for example.

Currently, I didn´t use none this object. About my guitar, I remember when I was in a band with my classmates and I went to every place with my guitar and its amplifier. It was very difficult to carry these objects but I did, I liked to play with my friends.

About my bicycle, I miss it a lot, because I have wanted to go at park when I have felt stressed but I don´t live in my house all the week now. And I couldn´t have it in the house where I host right now, because we don´t have no space for it. For this I wish start again use these object promptly =)

Education =)

About the video that we saw some minutes ago, I think that it show us the new tendency about how we could learn more and better. The education is a topic very important to the society, but little times we thinking about their relevance without all the credentials and qualification that we could have if we are a good persons in the educational system.

The education meaning more than that, while we thinking only about the future economics’ profits, we couldn´t use the education like an emancipation tool. In this topic arise a lot of transversal problems that affect in our society. For example, lack of social project that consider all the diversity and talent in our villages. On the other hand, the work´s conditions of the teacher are very bad right now. For this a lot of great students not want to study pedagogy because this job is very tire, it is little social value and sometimes it implicate not have a time for family or hobbies.

Besides, the society wants to have more and better professionals, but it doesn´t invest correctly in the education. For example, now in our country the new education´s reform pretends to give a free education in the university education, when a lot of research shows that the most chances could happen in the primary school, because in this level begins the differences between the children. With this I think that the topic like quality, way to teach or what to teach for social development it is not discuss so much. It meaning that although we put the education on discuss, still lack of integral policies that it help us to change all the injustices situations in our society.

Raining spring:

Well, I will talk about the weather, because nowadays this topic it is very commented by the people. I think that climate is very strange, because when we were on autumn or winter there aren´t rain. Even we had long period of drought affecting vegetable’s production. Also this situation was bad when rained so little because there was some downpour that caused damages to people from the north of Chilli for example.

Besides, this lack of rain impacted on the temperature. I remember that there was a lot of hot´s day, promoting that the forestry fire it couldn´t extinguish for example. This situation was very dangerous, because a lot of natural species were affected.

On the other hand, when we finished the winter and it started the spring, we had a couple of days with great storm and thunders even. Our city didn´t was ready for this. We saw flood streets and a lot of people that suffered because their house was contaminated with dusty water.

For this, all the climate changes are very important, because they affect directly all the people that live in this planet. Many persons have showed that high levels of pollution it will impact into
the species on the verge of extinction, on the weather or long periods of drought o rain.

Nowadays, is so necessary to become aware about this situation. Not only on the movies could we see all the damages that our irresponsibility would do in our planet. Today we are living this fiction on our life. 

Environmental Mind

I think that school could be a good place to learn about environmentally friendly practices. Maybe places like supermarkets or mall also would be a space to show some examples take advantage of people´s walk. Sometimes, to look these activities promote that other people begin to recycle.

Also, I believe that is very important to have “green” habits, because our planet is currently so polluted and this situation is responsibility of all the world population.  Although I have this opinion, I don´t have any specific habits about that. But I try to collect all the papers that I don´t use anymore to recycle.

On the other hand, when I see some place where someone could put their trash, I try to respect this space and I classify my own garbage.  I remember that my mom wanted work on a vegetable patch and to put there organic trash, but we didn´t.

Actually, I don´t participate in some eco-organization, but I investigate now in environmental area. For this, I work with some neighbor´s organizations that have some problems with the new buildings projects that have a lot of environmental impacts. In this situation converge a lot of injustice refers to economic and social domination even lack of empathy with the other people´s suffer.

I like to more people think about this situation, is very dangerous that we still polluting this planet with bad practices that it emphasize economic profit and it don´t estimate all the damage that it produce. Because the majority of industrial process have a contaminate practices and we like a lot of products that make by this way. For this is necessary to be conscious about this situation.

I would like in our society promote more environmental friendly practices, especially refers to create sustainable energy. For our country is very important this situation, but I believe that there aren´t interest about invest in these kind of renewable energy.

Fiestas Patrias ¡tiki- tikí!

Well, I think that the last national holidays were very funny for me, because I was with my family all the time in Batuco. Some day we cooked and ate empanadas. Another day, we cooked a “cocimiento”.

Also we played lottery and we played with kites. The best thing was I enjoyed with my nephews. The children were very happy played together. I felt very happy too, because all the family shared a great atmosphere. My sister told us about an accident in which she had to help. It was very sad because she felt disappointed because she couldn´t impede someone’s death in this accident. But all the family supported her and we thought about risk to drive with alcohol.

On other hand, we were together when earthquake happened. I was with my father, my brother and my nephew. Then we went to sister´s home to see at my mother and my others nephews. My sister was in the hospital (her work), but promptly we joined together and we comment the situation about how we felt.

Another day we went to Araucano Park, in this place we ride a bicycle. This park was very beautiful and so fantastic because there was a lot of vegetation and games to children. I saw families enjoyed with child and friends. Some people ate typical food, other guys ran to park and some people walked around the place.  I didn´t know this park and I felt very happy in this place. I took a lot of pictures and I enjoyed with family too, we ate some typical cakes (“chilenitos”).

 Better late than never

About this date, sometimes I feel so sad. When I think about all the people that suffer torture or they didn´t know where are their family members or friends. In other time I feel angry with all injustice  that continued in our country. It´s so easy to see a lot of reminiscences of dictatorship like work code, economic growth model or educational system. It´s show that even in democracy all the Chilean people still govern by the dictatorship´s rules.

For this I think that is very important still complain about human rights violated 40 years ago. I think that is very disgraceful the militaries condemned are in confortable jail or they have the possibility to attend in Military Hospital. When this people have punishment like common citizen, the justice´s sense could feel in our country.

About the people to express their discomfort by buildings barricades or other violent forms, I don´t agree with this ways, because it´s a very dangerous to all people. Besides it destroy our public spaces, it´s careless majority time. Is very sad that a part of young people express with more violence all the atrocity system that they feel them, I think that we must to transform our country with other tools like profession orientated to social necessity.

On July I was in Argentine, then this travel I feel that to know others countries is something that I must to repeat. For this, I would like to visit Germany, because there are beautiful places that to see like old building, parks, church, etc. In addition there I could taste some many exotic foods. I would like to know typical places and to take a lot of photos, I love it.  

Besides in this country there are many universities that teach sociology. In this country was born a lot of important theories like Marxism or critique theory. But I could so difficult to study some magister there because I don’t speak german. However, I would like to stay some month and I would to visit others countries around German, like France, Italy or England. Although I think that It could be difficult to visit Europe in this period because immigrant´s problems. However, I would like to visit this continent.
